DESCRIPTION:
The Peer Support Specialist will provide direct, peer-based support to individuals participating in the Pretrial Services Program. Primary responsibilities include providing court reminders, participant check-ins, compliance support, and transportation coordination; connecting participants with behavioral health, substance use, and community-based services; assisting participants with navigating referrals and accessing resources; and providing support during periods of crisis or instability. The Specialist will maintain regular contact with participants, encourage continued engagement, and communicate emerging needs or concerns to the Pretrial Coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; lived experience and/or experience providing peer support, behavioral health, substance use, recovery, or community-based services preferred.
