This position serves as the primary administrative role within the agency, responsible for a wide range of duties aimed at supporting the Health Director in the effective coordination and management of services and programs.
his position is assigned to the Finance Department of the District Health Department, which is responsible for managing a wide range of financial functions in accordance with North Carolina Law. The Finance Department ensures that all financial affairs are conducted in a manner consistent with generally accepted accounting principles , emphasizing practicality, efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
This administrative position is responsible for directing the activities of the Management Support Division, which includes managing a variety of services from routine office and clinic assignments to technical support for the Electronic Health Record-Cure MD. The division currently consists of up to 10 positions across three counties, which this position will supervise.
The purpose of this position is to register clinic and drop in patients, determine eligibility/fee collections, and data entry of all clinic programs as well as serving as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and Spanish interpreter.
This position assumes the responsibility of maintaining the district health department’s payroll, including initiating the payroll, checking timesheets, annual time, and sick time, and accurately monitoring and checking results before payroll is entered.
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the operation of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, WIC, in the tri-county district.
The primary purpose of the dentist position is to provide preventive and restorative dental care to school aged children across the three-county health district.
